A Day in the Life at ABC

Although every day differs in variation we tend to keep our children on a specific schedule and routine. When thinking over all that happens in a day at ABC Childcare, its many moving parts, and activities. We know what our day looks like in childcare and preschool.

6:30 - 8 am

Children start to roll in from this time as we begin our day at ABC. We welcome all the children and watch as they anticipate their friends arriving.

8 - 11 am

We first wash our hands and, right after, have our breakfast served. During breakfast, we talk to the children asking them questions and keeping a close eye on them. After breakfast time, we sing Good morning songs about colors and shapes. These are great exercises that engage early learning. (periodic diaper checks during this time.

11 - 12 am

We sit down together and eat lunch together as a group. This is a fantastic time for children to socialize as a group and to have time to relax before playtime.

12 - 12:45 pm

We have our playtime almost always outside as long as the weather prevails. The children enjoy our playground with the exciting wizard of oz themed jungle gym. Playtime is a crucial developmental time for children to improve agility and balance.

12:45 - 2 pm

We do diaper checks after the children have play time and before our naptime starts.

2 - 3 pm

We have our snacktime hour, where the children eat after their naps.

3 - 5 pm

Children continue to play as parents and guardians from ABC pick them up.
